CHERRY HILL PROGRAMS AND SANTA CLAUS SUPPORT THE NATIONAL DAY OF GIVING

National Day of Giving Opportunity #GivingTuesday…

CHERRY HILL PROGRAMS AND SANTA CLAUS
SUPPORT THE NATIONAL DAY OF GIVING
WITH THE INAUGURAL YEAR OF CHERRY HILL PROGRAMS’
THE MAGIC OF GIVING CAMPAIGN

November 23, 2021 (Marlton, NJ) – Santa is excited to be a part of the National Day of Giving at his Santa Magic photo experience in partnership with Cherry Hill Programs (CHP). On November 30, 2021 (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving), the National Day of Giving is a day designed to remind everyone to help those less fortunate. CHP, the industry leader in experiential photography, believes in cultivating the magic of generosity. In the inaugural year of CHP’s the Magic of Giving, three non-profit organizations have been selected to benefit this holiday season: Autism Speaks, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the Humane Society of the United States. CHP operates hundreds of holiday photo experiences across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico so there are countless opportunities to give - this time of year, giving is better than receiving!

The National Day of Giving is a great reminder to support those in need during this generous time of year. “Sharing this Santa Magic experience is so important to keep the spirt of Christmas alive,” said Liz Scoropanos, VP of Retail Operations at CHP. “On the National Giving Day, it’s important to remember to help those who may not be able to experience Santa Magic themselves. For CHP, it should be as much a holiday tradition as the annual Santa Photo and sharing Santa’s wish list with Santa.”

There are several opportunities for guests at Santa Magic to make a strong impact on the National Day of Giving.

For some on the autism spectrum, experiencing certain holiday traditions can be overwhelming due to sensory differences, communication styles and other environment elements. That’s why CHP is once again collaborating with Autism Speaks to provide Sensory Friendly Events to bring the magic to everyone. On December 5th and December 12th at participating locations, Santa Magic photo experiences will be sensory-friendly by limiting the number of scheduled guests to lessen crowds and wait times, reducing music volume or playing no music at all and ensuring that the lighting is at a comforting level for guests. Additionally, guests can make a donation to Autism Speaks at checkout by “keeping the change” with the purchase of any photo package or adding $1.00, $3.00, $5.00 or $10.00 at a participating Santa Magic photo experience location throughout the holiday season. Visit autismspeaks.createholidaymagic.com for more information and to reserve your visit.

“At Autism Speaks, we are working to create a kinder, more inclusive world for all people with autism. We are thrilled to have the support of Cherry Hill Programs once again to offer sensory-friendly experiences for all families to enjoy holiday traditions,” said Jennifer Schell Podoll, Autism Speaks senior vice president of constituent engagement. “Events like Magic Santa help us make a meaningful impact in communities by creating welcoming environments for everyone to feel understood and accepted.”

Not every child can come to Santa Magic unfortunately. But the families that do come will now be able to support those families that are caring for a child with cancer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Everyone can support St. Jude’s important mission. Visit stjude.createholidaymagic.com to learn more! At St. Jude, ‘families never receive a bill because all they should worry about is helping their child live.’ As part of this inaugural year partnering with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, CHP is gifting all who donate to St. Jude complete access to the virtual Story Time (a $9.99 value) for free as a token of appreciation.

So many families capture holiday photos with their beloved pets. At participating Santa Magic locations, guests can bring their pets to Santa Magic PET NIGHT to capture the magic to celebrate forever. In addition, if guests do not have access to an in-person pet event, CHP provides the opportunity to capture pets in festive holiday scenes virtually with My Photo PETS. In celebration of The Magic of Giving campaign, CHP has partnered with The Humane Society of the United States to help further their mission to support animals in need. This new partnership will allow all the Santa Magic families and guests to pitch in and support a great cause by donating $1, $3, $5, $10, or, if they’d prefer, they can make a “keep the change” donation with the purchase of any photo package at participating locations on Pet Night. Visit petnight.createholidaymagic.com for more information.

“The Humane Society of the United States is thrilled to participate in such a fun holiday event that brings pets and the people who love them together. Thank you to Cherry Hill Programs for supporting our lifesaving work for animals around the world through these memorable Pet Night events,” said Kristie Tanner, Director of Business Partnerships for the Humane Society of the United States.

Santa is back in person this year and thanks to CHP’s Santa Magic, families will once again experience the wonder of Santa’s Workshop and take a picture with the man himself for Christmas 2021. Of course, Santa wouldn’t come if he didn’t think that it was safe to visit with each child. To create a safe experience, reservations and advance sales can be made online at whereissanta.com. Walk-up visits are available as space allows. At the Santa Magic experience, guests can expect and should prepare for all CDC recommended best practices to be required and include social distancing, face coverings and enhanced sanitization. CHP recommends reviewing the CDC Safety Guidelines before arriving at the Santa Magic experience.

Every Santa Magic photo package comes with $25 to shop Shutterfly (limited to participating locations) thanks to their partnership with Cherry Hill Programs. Packages run from $39.99 to $49.99 and, depending on the package, include digital downloads, 6x8, 4x6, 3x5 and wallet size photo prints as well as a limited-edition postcard photo. There is also a fun opportunity for guests to snap a selfie while waiting to see Santa or to upload a photo with My Photo Op Spot (at participating locations) which will allow the guest to appear instantly in different holiday backgrounds. With My Photo, guests can download, save, and share their photos to social media right from their smartphone or table while waiting in line to see Santa. Guests can take this photo creation fun one step further with the My Photo Magic Pass which includes access to My Photo SANTA MAGIC through January 31, 2022 (available with purchase of photo package only). When purchased with one of the many photo packages, it is only $9.99, a 50 percent discount.

About Autism Speaks

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. We do this through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay.

About The Humane Society

Founded in 1954, the Humane Society of the United States fights the big fights to end suffering for all animals, not just dogs and cats. We work to stop large-scale cruelty such as cosmetics animal testing, fur and factory farming, trophy hunting and puppy mills. Along with our supporters and volunteers, we work to pass anti-cruelty laws, promote humane eating, help animals in captivity and bring veterinary services to pets in underserved communities. Along with our affiliates, we care for more than 100,000 animals each year through our rescue teams, sanctuaries, and wildlife centers.
